Samsung's confirmed that you'll be getting a refund for your
phone.
The world’s
biggest smartphone maker told owners to stop using the model, halting
production and distribution pending a US investigation into reports of
overheating battering on models that the company had earlier assured consumers
were safe. That included a warning for consumers who had already received a
replacement for defective models that they should turn the handsets off.
Consumers
with either an original or a replacement Note 7 should power down and stop
using the phone, Said Samsung.

"The
company is in close discussions with its telecommunication operator and retail
partners, and details on how Galaxy Note 7 customers can go about the exchange
or refund will be provided soon. All Galaxy Note 7 customers are urged to take
up the options when these are made available to them," it said in a
statement.
Samsung is
also looking into remedies for Galaxy Note 7 customers who purchased the
Samsung Concierge service, it added.
Consumers
can call 1800-SAMSUNG (7267864) for further assistance.
