being celebrated today across the Muslim World
Muslims across the world celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet
(PBUH) on the third month (Rabi ul Awal) of the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims
are celebrating the day with religious zeal and fervor. The way in which the
occasion is celebrated depicts several colours of local traditions, besides
touch of their religion and their association to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Pakistan
The day dawned with 31 gun salute in the federal capital and
21 gun salute in all the provincial capitals to pay homage to the last Prophet
(SAW). It is a public holiday today (Monday).
